Caldew Friends & Family Association

Caldew Friends & Family Association provides funds for “extras” that enrich and have an impact on our children’s education. You may have met us at Parents’ Evenings serving coffee and cakes.

We recently arranged the Energi Party Night for Years 7 and 8 which was a great success and are now asking the students what other activities and events they would like us to organise.

Our newly formed committee brings together parents, teachers and our local community to raise money and to support Caldew school. It provides an opportunity for everyone to work together towards a common goal. Our Association at Caldew School will bring closer links between home and school and is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school.

During the 2017/2018 academic year we are looking to support the school by providing the funds so that they can carry on enriching the lives of our children. At the end of the academic year the school celebrates the achievements and efforts of the students.

The school is developing its rewards system for students. One of Ms Jackson’s initiatives is for her to host a rewards party for those students who have excelled throughout the year focussing on the school’s vision: Aspire, Believe, Achieve. We are looking for ideas and  donations so that we can offer a rewarding experience for those students.

We will be working towards larger long-term initiatives including purchasing a new kiln for the Art Department that can be used in the community, refurbishment of the sports changing facilities that is used by numerous community groups  and re-designing the courtyard for the students.

The Club’s Constitution can be found here.

Volunteers Needed

We are looking for like-minded people who can commit some time during the school calendar to arrange activities and events to raise money for the school or alternatively have a hobby, skill or trade that can help support the school with its ever restricting constraints on its budget.

We all have the goal of making a difference in every small way we can and hope that you will support us in any way that you can.

If you can help in any way possible please contact Cheryl Eastburn at Caldew School.
